Developing evidence on people's care needs
EURECA: unplanned hospital admissions
This study has been exploring the experiences of lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients who have had an unplanned admission to hospital, and also the experiences of their carers, and healthcare professionals involved in their care. The insights from this research will enable the NHS to plan services designed to reduce admission rates and improve the management of patients who have been admitted.
